Video: Jason Cundy claims Spurs star does not get the credit he deserves

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has praised Heung-min Son.

The South Korean was impressive once again in Tottenham’s comfortable 5-0 win against Red Star Belgrade in N17 last night.

Cundy believes that the 27-year-old does not get the credit he deserves for his performances which have made him a crucial part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

His first goal was a difficult finish when he met Erik Lamela’s cross on the half volley and did well to place the ball into the roof of the net when it seemed easier to fire it over the crossbar.

Tottenham’s third goal before half time was also scored by Son and the electric pace he showed to get ahead of the defender, despite the opposing player being yards closer to his own goal was impressive not only from a speed perspective, but also highlighted his desire and work rate.

Cundy also credited the fact that Son has the complete package to make him a top class footballer.

Opinion

Son’s performance was scintillating and will only help to boost his confidence ahead of the trip to Liverpool on Sunday where we will need all of our players at the top of their game if we are to come away from Anfield with anything to show.
