Jose Mourinho believes that the fact that Gareth Bale decided to come back to Tottenham Hotspur proves that he has the desire to enjoy his football.
The 31-year-old made the return to North London on a season long loan move from Real Madrid after seven years in the Spanish capital, which have featured many successes but also plenty of difficulties.
Bale made his first start of his second stint at the club during Thursday’s 2-0 victory against LASK in the Europa League.
Mourinho challenged the Welshman to raise his level to get into the team with Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli all vying for a place in the starting eleven.
