Jose Mourinho has sent a message to the Tottenham Hotspur fan base ahead of the resumption of the Premier League.
Manchester United make the trip to North London this evening in what will be their first visit to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Rather than playing in front of a sell-out crowd, both teams will take to the field in an empty stadium as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mourinho has told fans that when he and his players walk into the stadium he wants to believe that it feels full due to the fact that the North London faithful who will be watching on from home will be cheering the side on to victory.
Spurs are currently eighth in the Premier League table and are four points behind fifth-placed Manchester United in what could be a crucial fixture in the race for a top four finish come the end of the season.
"We go to an empty stadium, but a stadium full of your love and full of your support."
