Video: Event held on the pitch at the new Spurs stadium

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be itching to get their bums on the seats of their brand new stadium come the new year.

The ground was originally supposed to open on September 15 against Liverpool, but delays with building put a stop to this dream.

There were hopes that it could open in 2018 still, but issues with the fire safety systems continued to hamper the builders.

The stadium will now be opened at some point in the new year, but a date has not yet been set.

However, the state-of-the-art stadium is looking absolutely incredible, and fans will get goose bumps at the look of this latest video.

It shows the stadium completely empty, seats in place, marking laid out, goal posts erected, the iconic golden cockerel lurking out of shot above.

The lighting is flashing atmospherically, and the sound system is blaring Michael Jackson.

All fans will have to do is imagine the dancers on the pitch are the starting XI.
