Video: Pundit believes Mourinho will look to Spurs player in same manner as Man Utd star

Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has tipped Eric Dier to become a key player under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.

Mourinho, who took charge of Spurs for the first time at West Ham United on Saturday afternoon recalled Dier to the starting eleven for just his fourth Premier League appearance of the season (transfermarkt).

The Portuguese reverted to a 4-2-3-1 formation against the Hammers which saw Dier move back into a holding midfield role after previous boss Mauricio Pochettino had played him as a central defender against Sheffield United.

Morrison believes that Dier is Mourinho’s type of player and will look to use the England international in the manner which he relied upon Nemanja Matic to play the role for both Chelsea and Manchester United.
