Video: Richard Keys blasts former employer Sky in defence of Spurs

Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has criticised his former employer for the part in handing Tottenham Hotspur a disadvantage ahead of their crunch Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham face Leicester City on Sunday in a 13:30 kick-off at Wembley, a Premier League match which will be televised live by Sky Sports.

In contrast, Borussia Dortmund will play in the Bundesliga on Saturday at 14:30, giving them a full day’s advantage of recovery compared to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Keys, who now presents for beIN Sports, alongside Andy Gray claimed that since Sky do not have the rights to the Champions League in the UK and don’t care about putting Spurs under pressure ahead of such a big European game.

Keys resigned from Sky in 2011 after being at the centre of a sexism storm (Guardian).

You have to give Keys credit for his comments, he is definitely right.
