Video: Spurs fan posts footage showing laughable distance fans sit at West Ham’s stadium

A Tottenham Hotspur fan has uploaded a video showing just how far away the supporters are sitting from the pitch at the London Stadium.

Spurs take on West Ham United this afternoon at their rented home and the distance from the pitch to the spectators is just laughable.

West Ham have paid an annual rent of £2.5m since moving in in August 2016. The stadium, built for the London Olympics in 2012, has been dogged by controversy over its finances.

The Hammers also had a £300,000 bid to turn the colour of the running track from green to claret by the ground’s owners, the London Legacy Development Corporation.

In contrast Tottenham’s new 62,062 seater stadium places fans closer to the pitch than at any other comparable size stadium in the UK, with distances from the front row to the touchline ranging from just 4.9 metres to 7.9 metres.
