Video: Spurs make seven-year-old’s dreams come true in heartwarming story

Sometimes, there is more to life than football and we just have to be reminded of it. One such instance is the story of seven-year-old Tottenham Hotspur fan Oliver.

The youngster who describes himself as a massive Spurs fan was earlier this year diagnosed with Sydenham’s Chorea – an infection which affects the brain.

Oliver’s father took it upon himself to contact his son’s favourite player, goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga to let him know that his son was unwell.

Gazzaniga showed his true class by arranging for the whole squad to sign a get well soon card.

As he was lucky enough to recover, the club arranged for Oliver to meet with some of the Spurs squad and before the final game of last season against Leicester City at Wembley he met Mauricio Pochettino where he asked if he could make his dream come true of seeing the changing room and tunnel.

In his usual classy self, Pochettino duly obliged. Check out the below to just see how much of an impact it had on Oliver. What a fantastic young man he is.
