It would be an understatement to say that referee Craig Pawson had one of his worst performances during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 win at Fulham yesterday afternoon.

There were two staggering decisions from Pawson which went against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The first was his verdict to book Danny Rose for what he adjudged to be a dive in the second half, despite there being obvious contact from the Fulham defender.

He also made a baffling call win the 74th minute when he booked Spurs’ central defender Davinson Sanchez after being on the receiving end of a wrestling move from Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Based on this performance, Pawson should be blowing his whistle in the Championship next weekend.

  1. He also missed an obvious penalty for Fulham when Jan pulled down Mitrovic in the box. Thankfully that decision went for us. But yes, he did have a bit of a crap game.
