(Video) The goal drought is over – Kane scores from the spot

Tottenham Hotspur have taken the lead against Brighton, courtesy of a Harry Kane penalty.

Referee Chris Kavanagh spotted that Brighton striker Glenn Murray had handled Kieran Trippier’s free kick effort and pointedto the penalty spot.

Up stepped Harry Kane to emphatically put Spurs ahead after 41 minutes and notch his third of the season. The goal was Kane’s 143rd for the club, which puts him level with Jermain Defoe and up to fifth in our all-time list of top scorers.
