Video: The Spurs player who followed Son to the dressing room at Everton

Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son was left visibly distressed after witnessing the significance of Andre Gomes’ injury during the 1-1 draw at Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Gomes was tripped by the South Korean which saw him fall awkwardly into Serge Aurier, leaving him screaming in agony on the floor.

It was later confirmed that the former Barcelona player had suffered a fracture dislocation to his right ankle of which he underwent successful surgery earlier today (Everton official).

Son was initially shown a yellow card by Martin Atkinson, only for the referee to change his mind and brandish the red card after seeing the extent of Gomes’ injury.

After being consoled on the pitch by the Spurs backroom staff, Son headed to the dressing room at Goodison Park.

Footage has now emerged that Tanguy Ndombele, who was substituted on 73 minutes could be seen leaving the bench to head to the away dressing room to support his Tottenham team mate.
