Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to Toby Alderweireld’s defensive horror show that has gifted PSV Eindhoven the lead.
The Belgian central defender took one too many touches in his own area and got caught short by PSV’s Hirving Lozano.
Alderweireld managed to get back and put on a tackle but the Mexican’s shot came back off the Spurs played and looped over Hugo Lloris and into the back of the net.
Frustratingly, this is the second gift we have given to the opposition in the Champions League following Lloris’ shocker for Barcelona’s opener at Wembley last time out.
Thankfully Tottenham have pulled level on 39 minutes through Lucas Moura, who buried the ball home at a crucial stage of the game. Going in at the break 1-0 down would have been disheartening.
