While the stars of the Tottenham Hotspur first team have jetted off to all four corners of the world to represent their respective nation, the club’s Under-21 side were in action last night.

After Mauricio Pochettino’s side were left embarrassed by the penalty shoot-out defeat to Colchester United last month, the academy side showed the first team how it is done.

After 90 minutes of action in the Leasing.com Trophy and the score level at 1-1, penalties were once again required to separate the two sides, with Colchester featuring a number of players that also took to the field during their Carabao Cup victory.

On this occasion the young Spurs players came out on top against the League Two outfit after winning 6-5 on penalties at the JobServe Community Stadium.

You can view the penalty shootout, below.
