What Gary Lineker said after Tottenham’s win against Fulham

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker took to Twitter after the dramatic late win against Fulham.

Spurs went behind in the first half when Fernando Llorente put the ball into his own net from a Fulham corner.

Tottenham looked like a different side in the second half and dominated the play. A typical pinpoint cross from Christian Eriksen was met by Dele Alli’s head on 51 minute to pull Mauricio Pochettino’s side level.

Dele later suffered a hamstring injury and had to be replaced by Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, leaving many Spus supporters believing that it would be a case of two dropped points.

However, Nkoudou whipped the ball into the penalty area deep into injury time and Harry Winks got inside the Fulham defender to nod in from a couple of yards out to ensure all three points went back to N17.

Lineker used a clever quip to summarise Tottenham’s win at Craven Cottage.
