What Harry Kane said after winning the Golden Boot

Harry Kane has spoken of his delight after winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup, but in typical fashion admitted that he could have done better.

The Tottenham Hotspur forward netted six goals in England’s campaign which took them to a fourth-placed finish in Russia and follows in the footsteps of former Spur, Gary Lineker in picking up the prestigious award.

Kane, as modest as ever believes that he still has plenty of work to do to improve his game which is music to the ears of Tottenham fans. The striker will now head off for some rest ahead of the new Premier League season and will miss the club’s tour of the USA along with the rest of the English contingent and World Cup winner, Hugo Lloris.

Kane told the press:”It’s been a fantastic campaign, for me personally and the team. It’s something I’m very proud of.

“But there’s still stuff I can improve on. I can get better. I feel like there have been games in this tournament when I could have done better, but that’s all part of the learning curve.”
