Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar appeared to lose his cool on Twitter last night with a Tottenham Hotspur fan.
Sugar reacted angrily to a Tweet from a supporter who claimed that Sugar was tight with his money whilst he was in charge of the club.
You pri.. We spent more net than any other PL club in my days.Thats why the lying Daily Mail who spurted the same sh.. as you had to pay damages in court. You're lucky to have a club its was bust the banks were going to shut Spurs down. I sorted it. https://t.co/NWu6JhwO0i

The 71-year-old hit back by suggesting that Spurs fans are lucky to still have a club following his intervention.
Whilst Sugar states he saved the club, others will say he was at the front of a queue of people ready to step in.
There is something amazing about Sugar and his time at Spurs. He appears to have made a significant profit selling Spurs to Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy at ENIC. Share sales in 2000 for £21.9 (say the Telegraph) and the remaining shares for £25m in 2007 (say the BBC), making an overall total of £46.9m.
On leaving the club in 2000, Sugar remarked that his time at the club had been “A waste of my life”. Well he wasn’t alone, as a season ticket holder then I can confirm it was a waste of my life too during those years
