How long each Spurs player has left on their current contract

Tottenham Hotspur recently signed Toby Alderweireld up to a new long-term deal that will keep him in North London until 2023.

However, the likes of Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen still have just six months left on their current deals at Spurs, inching towards free transfer exits in the summer.

In order to fetch full price for a player, you often have to be able to rely on a sizeable contract behind them to drive the deal.

If a player has just six months left, a club is unlikely to pay big money for them, instead of just waiting half a year to sign them on a free.
