The Danny Rose of old was back this evening, and Spurs fans will be hoping that it wasn’t just a cameo.
The flying left back picked up his second Man of the Match award in three games as he looked a continuous threat down the wing.
Rose put in three of four delicious balls across the box, some floated, some along the ground like his delightful assist to Erik Lamela, which proved to be the difference today.
Not only this, but Rose’s high pressure, combined with competent defending was a real positive for Spurs today.
Tottenham finally put an end to their losing streak this evening, putting two goals past Brighton on their way to the three points.
The 2-1 victory was much needed for Spurs after losses to Watford, Liverpool and Inter Milan.
