Video: ‘You don’t want fans near the board’ – Former Spurs chairman criticises plans

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has claimed in an interview with talkSPORT that there should be no fan representation on the board of a football club.

Tottenham announced yesterday that they are introducing a ‘Club Advisory Panel’ which will allow an elected person to sit on the club board, where they will allow fans to be heart of the club’s decision making.

Sugar has claimed that Tottenham have 60,000 managers in the stadium who claim they know better than anyone and instead believes that the board should be made up of people of knowledge.

Chelsea also recently announced that they will have a supporter presence at their board meetings in the wake of the failed Europea Super League breakaway.
