Sevilla end Zokora interest

DIDIER ZOKORA’S proposed move from Tottenham to Sevilla has fallen through.
The Spanish club were unable to meet Tottenham’s valuation of the Ivory Cost midfielder, which was said to be at least £8million.
“The distance between what they asked and what we are willing to offer was so great that we left it there,” said Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido.
“Zokora’s not the only option. The number two on our list is just as valid an option as Zokora, and is younger.”
“We requested permission from Tottenham to talk to him because we wanted to know what his disposition was, and he would be very excited to play in a competition he never has before in the Champions League,” added Del Nido. “But we must deal with a level head.”
