Bassong: I’d take fourth over cup glory

Sebastien Bassong has admitted that he would take finishing fourth in the Premier League over a cup win this season.

Spurs are currently third in the Premier League, which would carry the reward of Champions League qualification.

He said: “Both cup competitions are very important but the main thing for us is the Premier League.

“The top four is our goal, so if we can get into the Champions League we will all be very happy.”
