Tottenham Hotspur have received a massive boost with the news that Luka Modric has not broken his leg.
The Croatian hobbled off during the first half of the 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and it had been feared that he had suffered a similar injury as to what kept him sidelined for several months last season.
He has had x-rays on the left fibula which thankfully have come back clear. Modric could even feature in Tuesday’s Champions League opener in Werder Bremen after Spurs confirmed that he will be travelling with the squad.
