Ancelotti hoped for Spurs job

Carlo Ancelotti planned to wait for “a job like Tottenham or Arsenal” before joining PSG.
The Italian has been out of work since the end of last season after parting company with Chelsea and many had tipped the former AC Milan boss with the White Hart Lane hotseat if Harry Redknapp was to move onto the England job.
Ancelotti was known to be settled in London and the Spurs message boards were often filled with “ITK’s” predicting that Ancelotti will be in charge of Spurs next season.
“Before PSG’s call I thought of a year-long sabbatical, hoping that in the summer a job like Tottenham or Arsenal – a top London bench – would become available, but I was tired of not working,” Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
It seems however that the 52-year-old got bored of waiting and has decided that a spell in France is his best bet.
