Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Edson Cavani has revealed that he would prefer to remain in Italy.
The Palermo striker is currently on international duty with Uruguay at the World Cup and is settled in Italy.
Cavani admits that Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini would prefer for him to move to England, if he were to leave the Serie A outfit.
“If I had to go away from Palermo I’d still continue to play in Serie A,” he told Tuttosport.
“I know that Zamparini sees me in England, but I want to stay in Italy.”
