Dawson: At one point I thought we’d go on and win it

Michael Dawson admitted that he was disappointed to leave Old Trafford without a point.
Spurs were level at 1-1 with nine minutes to play before conceeding two more goals to lose 3-1 to Manchester United.
“It was a big disappointment, especially conceding the three goals” Dawson told the official Spurs site.
“We went in 0-0 at half-time and even though we knew we hadn’t played that great ourselves, we were well in the game and doing a job.
“To give the first penalty away was a blow and it was always going to be an uphill climb from there but we got back into it and we all believed we were going to get something out of the game.
“At one point I thought we’d go on and win it.
“Certainly once we scored we settled down and played the best football we’d played all game. We got on top of them and that was the case when they scored their second goal.
“It was disappointing to concede in the way we did and that knocked us back.
“After playing so well against Arsenal and Chelsea we all believed we could go there and get something out of the game.
“Everyone was full of confidence but it wasn’t to be.”
