Defoe set for return
News | Sam Parker | March 28, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Jermain Defoe has confirmed that will be resuming training on Monday and expects to be fit for the trip to Sunderland.
Defoe has been absent for Spurs’ last three games with a hamstring injury and had initially been ruled out for a few weeks.
However, the striker is happy with his recovery from the injury and plans to restart full training this week, with one eye on being part of the squad to face Sunderland.
“It was nothing major, I just pulled up in training.
“When I first did it, I thought it was bad. When I do get little knocks I tend to recover really quickly.
“I was running the next day, which was a good sign, and it’s really good.
“I think I will train tomorrow and I’ll play next week definitely.”

Tough call but I think this is my team….
best line up : gomes corluka, dawson, bassong, BAE
lennon,,huddlestone,palacios, Bale, defoe , crouch.
Pav on early in the second if crouch is poor. Late subs would be Mod and Niko.
he is is arguably not as trustworthy as charlie at the back but he has been making mistakes recently.
this would be my team, (asuming lennon wont be back for a while) :
Gomes
Walker, Dawson, Bassong, Bale
Niko, Hudd, Palacios, Mod,
Defoe, Pav.
eidur could play in the centre if harry is still worried about wilson's fitness/yellow cards .. but we could do will his metal in midfeils against scum, chelski and man u.
either way we have croouch, bentley and eidur to come on the change things if needed … not bad considering our injuries!!
