Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has tipped Tottenham to push for a top four finish in the Premier League this season.
Ferguson watched his young United side from the stands beat Harry Redknapp’s Spurs 2-0 on Tuesday night to progress into the Carling Cup semi-final.
“We have to look upon this as a really good win for us,” said Ferguson.
“Tottenham have improved tremendously and look as if they are going to push for the top four.
“They have a strong squad and the lads who came in for them tonight did very well.
“We have played a good team so I have to be pleased.”
