Hutton: Spurs were wrong to sell Bent

Alan Hutton believes that Tottenham Hotspur were wrong for selling Darren Bent to Sunderland.

Hutton, also started the season off at White Hart Lane and is now enjoying his loan spell at the Stadium of Light and hopes to make the move on a permanent basis.

“Darren has done brilliantly, so more fool Spurs for letting him go,” Hutton told the Sunderland Echo.

“Sunderland are getting the best out of Darren because he is playing regularly here.

“There’s another guy who, for whatever reason, didn’t have the best of times at Tottenham but he’s left there, come here to play week-in and week-out and is scoring lots of goals.”

    Both of them was never good enough to play for us, Bent is a player who looks shit against the better teams and Hutton came from Scotland and ain't good enough to play for a championship side

    Corluka will always be better then Hutton so its nothing to worry about, good bye Alan, young Kyle Walker done more good then you. You can go to Sunderland and fight relegation.

    sour grapes. if he played better when he had the chance and didnt get injured he may have still been here. you cant just be an ok right back in a team chasing the champions league places. he'll do fine for sunderland as he is an average player. we need exceptional 1st team players from now on. his comments are mostly his agents way of getting him a move. which is in both their interests…

    Hutton is a top player and redknapp didn't give him a chance to be honest. Typical English comments on here knocking him because he's Scottish, but if he was black you'd all shit yourselves. Redknapp'll come around like he eventually saw sense with Bale and Pavlyuchenko. He was right about Bent anyway so lets talk sense on here Spurs people. The team is looking good.
