David James sinsists that he holds no grudges against Tottenham.

Harry Redknapp has taken Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Younes Kaboul and Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth to White Hart Lane since taking over as Spurs boss.

He said: “If Harry hadn’t taken them someone else would have. But they just happened to be four players who were the nucleus of a very strong Pompey team.

“I have spent many hours out on the training ground facing them, and I know how good they are. They will be difficult to stop, but we are going to Wembley to win.”

He added: “Our relationship with those who left to go to Tottenham is still good. Let’s just say if we beat them it will be satisfying. But the text messages flying around afterwards will be enjoyable.”
