Misfit Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole wants a permanent move away from Anfield – and wants to join Tottenham.

That us what the Daily Mirror are reporting this morning. Cole has found himself down in the pecking order at Anfield following the signings of the likes of Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam.

Spurs were interested in signing the England international after he left Chelsea, but he opted to join Liverpool under Roy Hodgson.

The paper claims that Spurs could be interested if Luka Modric is sold to Chelsea.

    As a Tottenham fan,I hope we do not want or get him.He did not want to know us last time.So hopefully we will not be seeking his services.There are plenty of better options out there.He chose the scousers as was his right.But let him stew in the mess he only brought on him self.
