Newcastle linked with O’Hara loan bid

Newcastle are rumoured to be preparing a bid for Jamie O’Hara.
With Portsmouth entering administration and the club paying his wages, their cost-cutting measures could see them return the midfielder to Tottenham to reduce their wage bill.
O’Hara could face another stint in the reserves upon returning, depending on Tottenham’s midfield cover situation if Portsmouth decide to cancel the loan deal.
Whilst any deals to Premier League clubs are prohibited, Championship clubs are able to make loan signings until March 26th.
Newcastle manager, Chris Hughton worked for Tottenham for 15 years before being let go alongside Martin Jol, so is well aware of O’Hara’s abilities, having overseen his development in the Tottenham youth team.
This could see him make a bid to keep O’Hara until the end of the season in order to boost the Magpies promotion hopes.
