Spurs News - Player Ratings vs Wigan Athletic

Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Niko Kranjcar (10) – Titus Bramble and his friends at the back will be having nightmares about these three.
And everybody else (9) – It would be extremely churlish to have a pop at anyone after that performance.

I’d give Jermain Jenas a 9, and he was on the bench for 90minutes. Hell the tea lady did a good job give her a 9 too.
*drunk with joy*
Agreed……this result shows that we should drop Jenas and Keane from the 1st 11…….which is what we have been saying all along!! Coys!!
This result shows we can score goals against terrible defending IF we are prepared to stop messing around. It shows that Defoe can score against weak defending and that Aaron can skin unfit defenders. The only other thing it says is that many of our supporters still lack judgement. I will agree with this short term triumphalism if we beat Aston Villa well.
Spurs are back to their ‘flowing’ entertaining football which brought them a fantastic encouraging result. Congratulations to the midfielders who kept feeding Defoe with great passes which brought about a deluge of goals. As a Spurs supporter, I would like to see them continue with this aggressive attack and good finishing which has been lacking before. Their collective play was amazing and perhaps to ensure the same ‘team work’ I would like to see more or less the same selection of players in the matches ahead.
Surely from now on they will always be known as W19AN PATHETIC!
Makes up for conceeding 3 each against Chelsea, Man Utd and the scum. Two tough away games coming up, Villa and Toffees so we will see how good we are come 5th December. It just shows we are at our best when on the front foot and attacking. Please Harry dont mess with this 11, they must start again this weekend.
A brilliant performance against Wigan, but let’s get down to earth and concentrate on beating Villa. We can definitely be a top four team provided we maintain consistency, and don’t have a lot more serious injuries to contend with. If we had not lost against Stoke at home – a game we should easily have won – we would be third now, level on points with Man U! We cannot afford to lose many more games. However, congratulations to the team and the management on yesterday’s performance.
WHY OH WHY did Harry not play this formation before even without Defoe and lennon, should have kept it 4-4–2 and kranjka on the left, lets hpe Harry keeps this team against villa and keeps kean and Jenas on the bench
