Redknapp praises matchwinner Van der Vaart

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp was full of praise for Rafael Van der Vaart after the Dutchman’s two goals secured a 2-1 victory against Aston Villa.

Redknapp said: “He’s started well, he’s going great. He’s always looking to get on the ball and he has that knack of scoring goals.

“I felt, first half, we were open, too open, with two up and him floating around where he wanted to play.

“Second half, we changed it and I stuck him in behind one striker.”

Redknapp added: “He’s a good footballer and they always like a good footballer.”

What a superb signing Harry will have major problems picking a team when everyone is fit . We have some excellent players to pick from and if Sandro shows his true promise Christmas can come early for all our Super fans. We have to watch the little teams the desperate ones who can scupper our season like Blackpool Bolton West Ham Wigan Blackburn and a few others. Harry should play a five man midfield against these High Tempo Teams. We need to stop the defending and attacking in the same numbers and make them just defend by cutting off there attaching threat. Blackpool have shown by beating Liverpool at Anfield this season will be another shock one.
