Spurs await news on Pavlyuchenko injury

Tottenham Hotspur are waiting for news on the extent of Roman Pavlyuchenko’s injury.

The Russian forward limped off in the first half of the win at Stoke with a hamstring strain.

Redknapp said: “He got injected at half-time and we will have to see what the scan says. We thought Defoe was okay until he had his scan but it was the end of him for a few weeks.

“We are so short of players it’s unbelievable. The number of players we’ve got out injured or on loan we could pick a terrific team out of.”

    i hope pav’s ok, gud was fantastic today and it’s good we have such stellar back-up. we need pav to be ard to give another option. livermore looked quite good in the few minutes i saw of him, perhaps he’s more of a midfield ‘fit’ than kaboul?

    My god… Defoe's out, Keane's away, now Pavvy pulled a hamstring…
    and now we what we've got left… Crouch and Gudjohnson damn…
    Spurs should've kept faith in Tomas Peckhart & Lee Barnard.
    I wondered why Spurs never trust in giving opportunity in youngsters.
    Come on… show some faith… the ones you showed Lennon when he
    first arrived at Spurs… others need the same for self-motivation, man… COYS!!!

    Our physio team seems to have a problem. How can pro players be so unfit? Especially in a physically demanding league like this. All the players below have got injuries not due to tackles or fouls. Something needs to be done!
