Spurs battle it out with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal for starlet

Liverpool are reported to have taken the lead in the race to sign Charlton teenager Jonjo Shelvey.

The 18-year-old is also wanted by Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal and made his debut for the Addicks as a 16-year-old.

Shelvey can operate as a winger, attacking midfielder or second striker and is valued at around £3million.

    Where do these guys get this crap …. I know … Let's make up a story, so here goes. Man C are to sell Teves and exchange him for some guy from Brazil call Pele a proven goal scorer. Mancini who will not be at City next season was quoted as saying ' I have seen him play a few times and he has the skills we need' Harry Redknap is also watching the situation and is on standby should Mancini fail to make a move. Elsewhere in the news, Zola is about to be sacked and WHU are considering replacing him with a Donkey, owner David Sullivan is quoted as saying ' the fan's are that stupid, they won't notice the difference especially if you look at the donkey from the side view' …. in other news, Wayne Rooney’s wife has been arrested for miss-representation, she will appear in court today on charges of trying to pass herself off as a 'beautiful woman' contra to the trades 'descriptions act' 1997 … the defence is arguing that it was the Media and not Mrs Rooney that said she was beautiful so it goes to show how little the media know, Mr Rooney was unable to comment on the issue as it was felt it might put his marriage at risk
