Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has declared an interest in signing Liverpool’s Joe Cole.

Cole turned down an offer from Spurs in order to move to Merseyside last summer, but the switch has not worked well for the 29-year-old.

“I like Joe. I signed him as an 11-year-old. He is a good player,” said Redknapp.

“I’ve got all the time in the world for him. We haven’t made any enquiries about him but I wouldn’t sit here and say I wouldn’t have him at the club because if I did I’d be lying. I do like him.”

    AT 90 THOUSAND A WEEK NO THANKS Liverpool WOULD BE IN BREACH OF THE NEW FAIR PLAY RULES ON WAGES WE WOULD BE BETTER LEAVING HIM.

    He would obviously need to take a pay cut, at the end of the day, does the chap wanna play some football or rot on the bench getting fat and being paid ? Id imagine he wants to play and be part of things, so let be having him, but only after he make a public statement to the spurs fans in which he admits he was a greedy moneygrabber and should of came to spurs last year and that Liverpool are shite : )

    Cole = Old money. he want to LP for the cash even though spurs had CL.
