Report: Centre-back travels to England after Tottenham and Everton submit bids

Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-jae is reportedly travelling to England after Tottenham and Everton submitted respective bids to sign him this summer, according to Sabah.

The South Korea international joined the Super Lig side last August from Chinese Super League team Beijing Guoan and has impressed by emerging as one of the best defenders in the Turkish top flight.

Kim was linked with Tottenham as far back as two years ago (90 min) before he linked up with Fenerbahce.

And Kim’s string of solid performances have now put him on the map for a potential move after just one year in Istanbul, with the Premier League emerging as a destination.

Turkish publication Sabah claim Kim is set to travel to England to complete a potential switch after receiving offers from both Tottenham and Everton.

The report adds the bids are in the region of £17 million which could tempt Fenerbahce into agreeing on a sale for the defender who can play both centrally and in either full-back role.

Ideally, the Turkish side want to keep Kim on board ahead of next season, but are wary that a sale could allow the side to carry out more transfer business throughout the summer.

Spurs have made Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni a top target and have been made aware of the Serie A side’s £54 million asking price (The Times).

However, the Evening Standard recently reported that the 23-year-old is happy with his place at Inter and will need to be convinced of a move away this summer.

Kim has been a Tottenham target for quite a while now and he will continue to be in the conversation throughout the summer.

Just one season in Europe seems to have been enough to convince both Spurs and now Everton that he can make the step up to the Premier League.
