Report: Spurs U21 starlet is attracting interest from multiple Championship clubs

Football Insider report that Tottenham midfielder, Matthew Craig, is attracting interest from Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday after impressing on loan this season.

Craig has played 18 times on loan at Doncaster Rovers so far this season and the 21-year-old has caught the eye of English clubs further up the football pyramid.

Doncaster made a late run to reach the League Two play-offs at the end of this season and Matthew Craig joining on loan in January was a big catalyst towards that late-season success.

Tottenham’s Matthew Craig is a popular talent

It appears the midfielder could skip League One entirely and earn a loan move to a Championship side next season, with Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday both interested in a temporary deal.

Craig remains highly thought of at his parent club Tottenham too, having been U21 captain before leaving for Doncaster midway through the campaign.

The Spurs starlet will have another chance to impress next month when Doncaster play two legs against Crewe Alexandra in the play-offs, followed by a potential final against Crawley Town or MK Dons.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Matthew Craig doesn’t appear to be that high up the list of Spurs starlets about to break into the first-team, so a Championship loan next season could do his career wonders. Hopefully, he shines in the play-offs this year too!
