Spurs confirm Roberto Soldado deal

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have reached a deal for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado, subject to a medical.

We reported yesterday that Soldado will fly to London today to undergo a medical at the new Spurs training centre after both clubs agreed a club-record €30million fee, which consists of an upfront payment of €12million, followed by three sets of €6million over the next few years.

It’s a fantastic piece of business for Spurs to bring in a proven striker with international pedigree. Soldado scored 80 goals in 146 appearances for Valencia.

Soldado joins Paulinho and Nacer Chadli as our new summer signings ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
