‘Get a new job’ – Graham Roberts blasts Sky Sports after Harry Kane announcement

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has levelled criticism at Sky Sports’ pundits following the news that Harry Kane will remain with the club.

The 28-year-old took to Twitter earlier yesterday to confirm that he is staying at Tottenham Hotspur beyond the closing of the transfer window at the end of the month and also thanked supporters for their support in recent weeks.

Sky Sports have heavily covered every step of Kane’s situation at Tottenham over the course of the summer ranging from having reporters camped outside waiting to see whether he would turn up to the club’s Hotspur Way training facility through to their punditry panel predicting the future of the England captain.

Roberts suggested that the pundits employed by Sky should look to get a new job and paid tribute to Kane and emphasised the backing he has from the North London faithful.

Many Spurs fans had grown tired of Sky’s coverage of Harry Kane’s future and Roberts is simply saying that quite a few of us were thinking.

Retaining the services of Kane is a massive boost for the club, and hopefully we can go one step further this season and end the thirteen-year wait for a piece of competitive silverware.
