Summer signing Will Lankshear enjoyed a dream debut for Tottenham’s Under-18s on Saturday as his late brace helped Spurs comeback from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against Wolves.

Tottenham’s senior side put in a gutsy performance on Saturday to grind out a hard-fought 1-0 win against Brighton to return to winning ways.

The same afternoon, the club’s Under-18s hosted Wolves and it looked like a nightmare day for the Lilywhite youngsters as the visitors raced into a 3-0 lead courtesy of an Owen Farmer hat-trick.

Mikey Moore pulled one back for Tottenham before Lankshear came off the bench for his debut with 20 minutes left to score a quick-fire brace and help the North Londoners salvage a point.

The 17-year-old signed for Spurs in a £2.5m deal from Sheffield United back in September after being released from Arsenal’s academy a year ago (The Examiner).

According to Yorkshire Live, the teenager is a lifelong Spurs fan and it was his dad who pushed him to sign for the Lilywhites.

This was no doubt a dream debut for Lankshear and will do wonders for his confidence. It will serve as confirmation to the youngster that he belongs at this level. Hopefully, the 17-year-old kicks on from this display and has a prolific campaign for the Under-18s.
