Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brandon Austin has returned to the club following his loan spell at Orlando City.

The 22-year-old made the move to the MLS outfit in late January, where he was expected to remain for the duration of the Major League Soccer season, which runs until November (Spurs official).

Austin, who is out of contract at the end of the season returns to North London with Alfie Whiteman having impressed during his pre-season outings against Colchester United and MK Dons.

He returns to the club with Spurs having secured the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan deal from Atalanta, while the club are also reported to have told Joe Hart that he is not part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans for the season ahead (Football.London).

Orlando have moved to sign free agent Adam Grinwis to replace Austin, for a second stint with the Florida-based outfit.

With Hart having been strongly linked with a move to Celtic, Austin may have been broight back early from his loan spell to provide extra cover within the goalkeeping ranks.

With Alfie Whiteman having caught the eye with his performances between the sticks, Austin faces a big decision over his future, especially given his contract situation.
