Spurs to raid Ajax again

According to Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, We are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Ajax starlet David Neres.

Neres, 20, came up through the ranks with Sao Paulo in his native Brazil, spending almost 10 years with the club before joining Ajax earlier this year.

The article adds that after a January move to Amsterdam, he hit three goals and one assist in eight Eredivisie appearances to end the campaign, but has been simply sensational this term.

It adds that Neres has grabbed eight goals and nine assists in 16 Eredivisie games this season, becoming a firm favourite at the Amsterdam Arena and unsurprisingly attracting major interest.

It goes on to say that AC Milan have joined the race to sign Neres, with Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United and of course ourselves also believed to be in the battle for his signature.

He’s a paceyand skilful forward with an eye for goal, and has earned comparisons to compatriot Neymar.

With such strong competition for his signature, Mauricio Pochettino may have his work cut out to beat off rivals to sign Neres, and he would hand the manager another attacking option and perhaps the pace we lack in attack
