Croatian international on Spurs’ radar

We turned down the chance to bring Marcelo Brozovic to Hotspur Way in the summer, according to an article by Italian news outlet Calciomercato.

The article says it is understood that Serie A giants Inter Milan were willing to include the Croatian international as part of a deal to land Moussa Sissoko, but it was Mauricio Pochettino who turned down the offer.

However it does say that just six months later, Tuttomercatoweb reports that we are now more open to the idea of signing Luka Modric’s international teammate.

The article says the report states Brozovic has been put up for sale by Inter, and that Pochettino may consider making a move in January for the 25-year-old.

Brozovic has fallen down the pecking order at the San Siro this season starting just seven league games despite Inter enjoying a superb start to the season, one which has them right in contention for a long-awaited return to the Champions League.

The article goes on to say it will be of interest to Spurs that Inter will reportedly ask for just £12 million for the former Dinamo Zagreb talent a figure considerably less than the fee they were demanding back in the summer.
