Kane nominated for prestigious FIFA award

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has made it on to  10-man shortlist for the Best Fifa Men’s Player award for 2018.

The 24-year-old England captain won the Golden Boot at this summer’s World Cup in Russia netting six goals as England marched towards the semi finals in impressive style culminating in the country’s best finish since 1990.

The Premier League is well represented with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne all on the list and Cristiano Ronald, nose of Juventus is also included.

It has been a remarkable season for Kane as he went into the World Cup on the back of registering 30 league goals for the first time in a Premier League season.

He continued that blistering form at the finals in Russia, becominf the first English player to win the top scorers’ prize since Gary Lineker did at the 1986 finals in Mexico.
