£53m Tottenham target sends Instagram message to current Spurs star

Tottenham Hotspur are just two days away from their first ever Champions League final, and the opportunity to walk away as Champions of Europe.

Only Liverpool stand in Spurs’ way now, after the Lilywhites knocked out Borussia Dortmund, Man City, and Ajax, as well as PSV and Inter Milan in the group stages.

Tottenham have now flown to Madrid to prepare for their showdown with Liverpool, training at Real Madrid’s complex this morning.

Erik Lamela, who is part of the squad for the final, posted a photo on Instagram of himself on the plane to Spain.

This seems rather normal, however, some people have noticed a rather eyebrow-raising reply in Lamela’s comments.

Spurs have reportedly put in a £53m bid for Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis this week, in an attempt to lure the highly-rated attacking midfielder to White Hart Lane (BBC).

While no deal has been agreed as of yet, the playmaker was seen replying to his fellow Argentine on Instagram.

Could they be teammates next season?

Spurs Web Opinion:

While there are other options I would prefer over Lo Celso, Tottenham would make sense as a destination for him. We have an Argentine manager, players such as Lamela, Juan Foyth, and Paulo Gazzaniga, and a rich heritage of top-class Argentine players in the past too, such as Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles.
