David Bentley believes taking a step down to the Championship will prove to be the right move.
The Tottenham winger joined West Ham United on deadline day and will spent the remainder of the season with the Hammers.
“Everyone wants to play in the Premier League but sometimes you have to step down and, hopefully, it’ll be the right step for my career,” he said in The Sun.
“It’s a good club and manager Sam Allardyce wanted me.”
“I’m trying to rebuild my career like West Ham are trying to rebuild themselves.”
