Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have been part of Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Chelsea press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the match at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final.
Journalists are continuing to dial into the press conference via the Zoom web conferencing platform following the recent Covid-19 outbreak at the club’s training ground.
Tottenham will come into the fixture having beaten Watford in the Premier League with an injury time winner on New Year’s Day, while Chelsea came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Liverpool.
Conte revealed that the club are currently dealing with a coronavirus situation within their ranks in the squad ahead of the cup tie and is not sure at this stage whether those affected will miss the match.
