A closer look at Tottenham’s new 2023/24 Nike home kit and the inspiration behind the design

Preparations for the new 2023/2024 season are already underway at Tottenham Hotspur with the club having announced Ange Postecoglou as the next head coach and also unveiled the new home kit within the space of a few days.

Nike decided to go for a more simplified design for the season ahead compared to the 22/23 design which featured a predominantly white with a circular seam across the chest while the collar and sleeve cuffs were navy with a Volt line through the center.

Tottenham signed a 15-year kit deal with Nike in 2018 and the US sportswear giants’ kits for the north London club in recent seasons have already brought forward a range of contrasting opinions from the fans.

What is different about the Spurs 2023/2034 Nike home kit

The design includes an all-over line-work pattern that has been inspired by the local vibrant music scene in Tottenham and streetwear culture which is supposed to add ‘energy’ to the traditional classic white look.

The dark blue shorts have been dropped in favour of an all-white kit which is typically accustomed to European nights, however, with no continental competition on Tottenham’s agenda this season, the all-white look will be used in all continental competitions.

Socks are also more simplistic with the volt line through the center also having been removed with the playing strip likely to be worn for the first time when Tottenham take on West Ham United in a pre-season friendly in Perth, Australia on Tuesday, July 18th at the Optus Stadium.

The away kit is expected to be released in July with the third strip following shortly afterwards.
