“A cracking young talent” – Pundit raves about Tottenham’s deadline day signing

Tottenham Hotspur were extremely busy on deadline day after completing deals to bring Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso to the club while Cameron Carter-Vickers sent on loan to Stoke City while Josh Onomah headed to Fulham as a part of the Sessegnon deal.

Lo Celso, in particular, has been a target for Tottenham since the start of the summer but Tottenham and Real Betis struggled to agree on a fee (Mundo Deportivo).

Spurs finally pushed the deal through with a season-long loan deal which includes the option to buy, restricting the amount of the fee that PSG will receive due to their 20 per cent sell-on clause.

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has now hailed the signing of Lo Celso and suggested that he is a cracking young talent.

The 48-year-old also insisted that the Argentine international is at the right club to continue progressing as a player.

Signing Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso in the same window is outstanding work by the club but some fans still seem displeased due to the fact that the club couldn’t get the Dybala deal over the line. Central midfield was Tottenham’s main weakness last season, and the club have now well and truly addressed that issue now.
